Tsukayu Bags....which one?
« on: Apr 02, 2017, 12:10:27 PM »
I am finally wanting to take the plunge on my 08 Raider.

Since I am not good with mods and what not what would be the easiest option for me that I would not have to do much if any hole drilling? If I got the one's that are compatible with Easy\Ghost brackets do those brackets just mount right up?

Tsukayu comes with their own brackets.  Personally, I suggest getting the bags undrilled and doing it yourself. Then you are able to position the bags where you want them. Your exhaust can make a major difference on how they're mounted. If you still have the stock exhaust it's going to have to sit really high.

I actually have hard chrome la strippers straight back dual exhaust.

Am I better off getting edge brackets to help with install?

The only  problem with the QR  brackets  is that the  bags sit to far out from the bike for my liking that's why I went with the tsukayu corner bags and used the brackets supplied with the bags and  drilled my own  holes  so I could keep them close to the bike and position  them lIke I wanted

My only worry with that is that I am not that handy or mechanically inclined so I am scared together the brackets right.

I know it sounds silly but I am learning to do more....

Also did you have to relocate your rear turn signals? If so how hard was it?

I did the Blaster X intergrated tail light  and removed the lollipops as most do

How hard is it to remove the lollipops and do the Blaster X integrated install for a rookie?

So easy a Stoneman can do it. :lolsign:  Hope I never have to do it again though. :tumble:

I disagree.  Installing the Blaster X is easy. Plug 'n Play.

Depending on how  you want to get rid of the lollipops, it can get to be kind of a pain. If you're installing the Kuryakyn sub fender, it's far easier if you remove the back fender.

I am at best a weekend mechanic. No problem replacing the stock lights with the Blaster X integrated lights. Less that an hour. Its four bolts, plug and play.
      Good luck.

The lollipops unbolt from the inside of the plastic don't they?

Yes, they unscrew from inside the tail assembly.
