It would appear so.... I wonder if this would be legal in the US... or if additional mods would have to be made... emissions and such?  I think they should have called it the "Flying Duchman".   ;D

drivers lic or motorcycle ala the can am, the flying could be under the experimental and no lic needed. depends on weight , horse power, few minor other things. If I could afford one it would be hellava lot of fun...

I may be misstaken but I think gyro-copters don't require a license.

I know parasails don't require a license and those little fixed wing things with the fan motor don't either.

Because of the Main rotors blades and tail rotor, it will require a pilots license, it would be in the helo category.
