I use the cablelock my wife uses a bike lock (cable) from walmart to her handle bars on her vstar 650. Her saddlebags prevent using the stock lock

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!

Does anyone have a place where they put thier helmet (not including on thier head) while they ride? Here in the great state of Michigan they finally passed the no helmet law. I still usually wear my helmet but....if I am just tooling around the back roads by the lake it is nice to not have it on...anyplace to keep it during those rides?

I would imagine if you have no backrest or luggage rack that you could fasten it via the chinstrap to the passenger seat grab handle.  Helmet in hand, fasten the chin strap, then use a carabiner to go thru the D-rings and hook to the strap.

I bought and just installed the Warrior helmet hook, P/N 10-5PX-21398-00-00.  The bolt is from the stock Warrior motor mount which came from the left side clean-up.  The bolt is 13/16ths long, a 3/4" won't bottom out.  $5.11 delivered, now I don't have to F with the cable  ;D.
