I like it so far. I just have to put it on the bike and see how it fits, clearances and all.

Wolf- How are you cutting out the MDF?  I assume not by hand since you went to the trouble of cutting out all of the decorative holes as well.

We have several CNC milling centers in our cabinet shop.
Good enough for test runs. Got to get these parts water jetted by someone else.
I would love to have one of those too.

I really like the design, I think it is awsome.  My only concern would be how big are the two mounting bolts on each side, and how much weight can they support?  It seems like a fair amount of torque will be applied to those bolts.  I would hate to have it fail a mounting bolt and fall down on the fender or worse.  I think it will look great.

I feel very comfortable about the attachment. Prior those bolts were holding the fender struts and rear fender. In comparison to supporting a passenger, this situation as a luggage rack only should be very strong.

Agreed! And I like your logic on the strength of the rack, Wolf. You read my mind. I really like the wolf silhouette you added, too. If only you could make it a QR rack. Hmmm....
