Ok, so I'm confused again. I have two wires that require power. I assume one (probably the blue) is for the light and the other (red) powers the tach. My instructions say connect both the blue and red (in fact, they are tied together in a single connector) to power. Then I have a black for ground and a green that goes to the coils. Is this similar to yours? Did you connect both powers to the plug in the headlight or just the tach light? Thanks

Just the tach +12v (red in my case) is attached to the plug with the black wire on the other side.  The wire for the light (blue on yours?, white on mine) is attached to the low beam on the head light.

That's what I thought, but the tach referred to on this link says Metrics have single-fire ignition and offer no Metric dual-fire option.
