Does that turbo charger make it drink gas ? Or can you make it so it gets better gas mileage than stock ?

Well, that's what THEY say. I think you should buy one of their kits, and see for yourself, wouldn't you agree?

When under boost, the engine's fuel requirements will be greater than stock. And no, a turbo will not give you better gas mileage than stock. However, when not under boost, your gas mileage should be about the same as stock.

Explain the Ford EcoBoost seeing better gas mileage than a non turbo if you could.  I agree with you that it should use more gas.

I don't know how the Ford EcoBoost system works. I'm sure it uses variable timming, and a lot of other wazoo stuff. My use of turbos and superchargers, are for performance gains. For me, gass mileage isn't a consideration. However, with the Raider's small fuel tank, maybe it should be. At the moment, I'm only getting 100 mi., before the reserve light comes on.

For the performance your getting I would take  a 100miles. That my more fill up number any way .

I have owned 2 cars with a turbo. Was ok  but didn't like turbo lag. I had 1 car with a super charger  I like that power off line all the way up .

Ecoboost motor use variable timing and two small sized turbos, works great for the platform.
My Flex has the ecoboost and runs 13.16@104.97 with 100 octane, cutout and intake. Installed a 75 shot recently, should be in the mid 12's @ 110++ this Friday when I head back to the track. With the tune that ran the 13.16 and on 100 octane I got 24MPG on the way to the track at 75 MPH with cruise on. Car weighs 5100lbs with me in it.
