My goal was to have the pods and strips hidden from view - and I think I've done a pretty god job of that. You can see a pod or two but the rest are stealth. IMHO: LED lighting should have an enhancing effect for the bike - subtle yet strong. The bike should not look like some redneck XMas tree...
Just curious.....what color should I install (assuming single color Xkglow2 wire install vs daisy chain 4 wire multi), for a Red 2008S........I am thinking orange would look best and be the most visible and legal? Used to have blue and red on the magenta VTX 1800N but it wasn't very legal.
For those of you who have installed the XK Glow kits-where are you placing the strips or pods by the front and rear wheels? When you get to last pod or strip what did you do with the wire on other one side of the strip, just tie it up or can you get rid of it somehow?

When you get to last pod or strip what did you do with the wire on other one side of the strip, just tie it up or can you get rid of it somehow?- Rear wheel: 5 strips, 2 pods. Two strips per side on sub fender, and one across the rear. One pod per side on the plastic firewall bracket- Front wheel: 2 strips, 2 pods. Since I have a Low/Mean fender, not enough clearance between tire/fender. Mounted one strip and one pod on the fender sides. Pods are on a mount bracket (from XK) pointing lights downward. Looks decent but I'm going to add more LEDs (non-XK single 5mm bulbs).- At the end, simply cover with elect tape and stow with a clip; keeps the opportunity to add more. One consideration I took: I did my best to mount all lights to the frame, especially around the tank. This way I don't need to disturb lights when I pull the tank, or when it's time for painting. Only place lights are on a paint surface is the aforementioned front fender. You'll probably need more "Y" splitters - pm me and I'll see what leftovers I've got.
it is the christmas season, but i'll keep the lights on the tree.
