I wouldn't by the Gen 1 at any price.

I purchased mine from Amazon early this year and never had any problems with it. I rode all over the mountains at the 2012 Raider Rally, and while others with the PCV tuner were experiencing some decel popping, my pipes never farted once.

You could say why is there a PC V when the PC 111 was fine!!!

The PowrPro original is fine, and I have one and never had an issue, and the bike runs smoother, slightly better MPG, and responds better, the PowrPro 2nd Gen has the option of adjusting you idle, just an "add on" or upgrade on nthe original product.

+1 I agree with what bikertrsh said. I installed my Gen 1 before the WARR 2012 Rally and got just under 50mph roundtrip there and back and never have had my  modified stock pipes at the time or my Cobra Swepts now pop on decel

1. Your logic is flawed. There are not multiple versions of the PC III, PCV, etc.
2. I stated this because of posts claiming defects with the original version.

I'm not real sure.... but... I "think" it had something to do with v1 not being waterproof.

I'm not real sure.... but... I "think" it had something to do with v1 not being waterproof.   

Is version 2 waterproof?  That was one of the things making me leery of it. Not that I deal much with water, but I'd be pretty upset if I killed it after washing my bike.

Where do you keep yours?  Would the left side cover be a good place or is there not enough room?  I have no idea how large these are. My PCV wouldn't fit behind the side cover.

There's not enough wiring on the module to put it anywhere but right on top of the battery. After I read the post on water intrusion into the Power Pro module, I put it inside a zip lock plastic bag. It is not totally waterproof, but the bag will give some protection to the unit from water while washing the bike or rain getting into the battery box. I have not yet noticed any water in the bag, so I think it's safe to assume none is getting in there.
