Veterans Post Yourself
«

As evening settles in on this Veterans Day I'd like to say to all my fellow Vets, Thank You For Your Service. I know I'm proud to have served this great country and I'm proud of those who served before me, with me, and still serve today. I'd love to see who all our Veterans are. Please post a pic.

I dont have any either. I only spent three years in the Army, would have stayed in til retirement had they let me re-class to M.P., but being color blind I couldnt. I really enjoyed the Army, just not my M.O.S. Thanks to all that served and are serving.

My time in the military was some of the very best years of my life and I met some friends that are still close to my heart 35 years later. I served for 4.5 years with the first 7 months in Pararescue Indoctrination training. I was 6’ tall and 129 going into boot camp, but reached 154 during Rescue Indoc'. I did eventually cross train as the chauffeur for the Base Commander and other high ranking officers and as a tractor trailer driver too. I spent the rest of my time on active duty at Eglin AFB in Ft. Walton Beach Fl and liked it there so much that I stayed just outside the gate for 2 more years to attend college on my GI Bill. The last pictures are of my ‘57 Panhead [with the base decals on the springer] which I built in my barracks dorm room. I wish I still had that 154 lb body

I bet all of the vets are enjoying themselves just as yours trully.
I've done 21 years in the service. Although on a part time basis, I've done two OIF tours; one of which I volounteer my self cuz all my friends that were in the first trour in 2005, were volounteering. So there I went.
Of course, when I was there I couldn't forgive myself cuz it was totally different. For R&R, I went to Italy and made out like a bandit and made it all worth it.
