2 bikes in a U-Haul....?

So here's my situation: my brother-in-law has been storing his bike (a 2008 Dyna Low Rider) with me in Albuquerque for a while and wants me to trailer it to him in Goodyear, just west of Phoenix for thanksgiving. He and my father-in-law, who lives there too, suggested I bring the Raider too so my father-in-law would rent a bike and we'd all go ride. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun to have it there over the long weekend, but I'm a little concerned about how to transport the bikes in one uhaul. I brought mine by itself from Denver to Albuquerque in a 5'x9' utility (I think) and that was easy enough with the four tiedowns in each corner of the trailer, but I'm not sure how I'd strap two bikes in. I'd gladly rent a bigger utility trailer, but I don't think they have tiedowns down the middle either.... Any ideas???

Maybe rent a 12" trailer and place one forward and one reversed in trailer.  I think u-haul has a 6 x 12 that may work. It is a double axle and has more tie-downs,

So you need to haul 2 bikes? 

Put the front tire of each bike in the front corners  of the trailer then tie down to the rub-rails/tie points on the walls of the trailer.

Tie the rear of the bikes together and also tie off the rear of each bike to the wall.

If it works, you can also tie the rear of the bike to the opposite wall as added security, maybe running the rope or strap at an angle rearwards to go behind the other bike and hook to the wall.

Leave kickstands down as cheap added safety but I never rely on the kickstand to provide the actual support.  I just like it down in case the strap on the other side fails and the kickstand would help save bike from falling over.

I just went and checked them. I didn't catch in your post that you mentioned that there were more tie downs in the 6x12 - it's gonna work like a charm. I went ahead and reserved it.
