Mine arrived this morning... Christmas on Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving dinner is gonna have to end a little sooner today, folks.

Food, Modify, Football, Ride?

Post up some pics when you get done... of the mods... not the aftermath of eating...  :o  :rotfl:
Welp... the only thing that happened was eating and football.  No mods and no rides.  I'm going to do a little research (what size bolt works best) and put it on today.

So, it appears the long bolt either doesn't come with the VTX1300 kitj.  So now I gotta do some engineerin (measuring and guessing) and whatnot.

i guess that means get two 1.5" hex head bolts and two 1" spacers...  gotta go look at it.

glad i didn't try this on Thxgiving after all.

Finally found M6 40mm screws - had to buy a bag of 50!

Got it mounted (pics cometh).

On the drilled side, I was kinda close to the engine mounting bolt.  There's not a lot of room behind the bracket for using your fingers, but you can get to it.  I put a lock nut on with blue loc-tite.

On the undrilled side, I just screwed in the bolt and used loc-tite.

I used loc-tite on all of the small bolts that mount the spike to the mounting bracket.

we'll see.

All that's left is the chin fairing and chrome wheels, and I might call it done...  (unless I can find a sleek front fairing like they were going to put on the L&M bagger...)
