Electrical connector problem...general...non raider

OK...so I have this problem on my wife's xs650.  Basically the female spade connectors that connect my starter switch to the starter soliniod are comming loose from the male side of the connector on the solinoid.

I've thought about some options and I'd like your opinions
1.  Solder the female connectors to the male side at the solinoid
2.  Put a dab of JB weld on the open side of the female connector after they are connected hopefully securing them
3.  Use 3m sticky velcro to better secure the wires

The location is a total PITA and I can't really change out the soliniod to a different type easily.  To me options #2 combined with #3 seem the easiest but I'm not sure if jbweld will disrupt the connection.

Any thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated.

Don't handcuff us with options.  Post some pics and let creative minds go to work!

I would consider soldering wires directly to the solenoid (heat shrinking the connection) and use a connector of your choice.

Spacing would be an issue.  I probably have a centimeter between each of the male connnectors.  Just gotta find a way to anchor the females.  That link does give me an idea though.  I wonder If I could drill a tiny hole threw both of them and then add a tiny screw to keep them together.

If it's not a connection you may have to take apart some day then I say solder them together, but even then it could be undone if the need arises.

Can you gently squeeze the female blade receivers to restore grip?  Or maybe put a slight center long bend in the males for the same?  I wouldn't solder - for many reasons...

I was honestly thinking about it.  Thought JBweld might be less likely to cause a conduction problem.

why cant you replace the female spade terminal?

How about using some bare wire on the male connector?

Fold it over the top, Wrap the bottom at the base of the connector "around the wire you fold over.

Trim as needed. May take some trial and error to get the right fit.

I have been lucky in the past trying the same idea with stripped out threads, before retapping. Wraped bolt/screw threads with some bare wire to make up the differance, in the short term.

Just a thought to try?

I could but don't think they will fit properly either.  Part of the problem is that the wire runs from the solinoid that's mounted on the swingarm near the pivot tot he the starter button which is mounted on the frame.  I think the motion of the solinoid is wiggling these connectors loose.

If you cant relocate the solenoid how about securing the wire harness to the swingarm?   eliminate the flex at the connection.  May have to add wire to the harness
