Kit- You can do what you want to.  I don't think it's the smartest decision.  My father-in-law does the same thing and I think it's a bad idea for him too. All I know is I road with just a helmet and a tanktop and you can still see where the roadrash was on my left arm after sliding down the freeway at about 40 mph.  Since then I always wear full gear.

.  I do the same in summer unless Im on the hi-way. Even on the hi-way I dont wear a jacket unless its cold or rainy.

Speakin of bees. I had one fly in my shirt when i was in town and lit my stomach up. I didnt know what was goin on.

I got one in the neck once. Just suddenly felt an unbelievable pain in my neck that would not stop burning. When I got to work I took off my jacket and the bee fell on my desk.

I have had a bee fly up my jacket sleeve. Then I also had one turn itself inside out on my bare arm. That one made a scar from the stinger

Hornet to the chestplate, here.  That was back when I lived on the east coast, and rode a Vulcan.  Like getting punched.

gotta love the way these threads stay on topic.... ... Not complaining at all.... just shows how easy it is to talk here... almost qualifies as a chat room..

A few years ago I was riding at night and something went between the mirror and windshield and hit me in the chest at around 40mph..I didn't know what it was but there were feathers flying around....I turned around and found a dead burrowing owl laying in the road...the next day I had a bruise that looked like I had been hit with a softball.

I know that I'm as guilty as the next guy... maybe more, but.... this thread is starting to sound a lot like these posts belong on the other thread - "So what happened to you while riding?"

Actually this one has turned more into the thread about what objects you've been hit by when riding.

I would never ride the Raider with those!  I can't even ride it in shorts.  Being on the short side my legs are too close to various very hot parts on the right side of the engine   Some days stopped at lights in the summer it even hurts through jeans.
