Hey Sweet Tooth,  I am one of those that like to cruise between 50-60 so I can enjoy the ride and see the sights.  On our roads if you run much over that, you take a chance on overshooting a curve (not much fun) or hitting wild life (also not much fun).  If you come out my way, be glad to cruise with you.

How fast do you guys normally ride on those type rides ? 50-60 ? I like being able to see the sights too  :) :)
If you're refering to the rides around Maggie Valley, it's best to run the posted speed limit - which in some cases is only 35 (Tail of the Dragon, Shiners Run, etc) some of the others it's 45 (Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc.). When riding any of the roads up there if you want to look at the sights - it's best to use the pull offs and take some pics. The riding is really great but any lapse in your attention can be a bad thing.

Y
At 50 60 you wont see much bug either a rock face or a tree head on.  The roads around Maggie Valley riding at 20 will seem fast while others 30 35 will be as fast as you want to go.  Stop if you want to see anything for pictures.

Nah, I wasn't talking about Maggie Valley, or Arkansas or even the twisties in the mountains of Colorado.  I meant when others like to run 75-80, I prefer to cruise 50-60 mph.  Sorry about the confusion.
