I've thought about doing the same thing for a while now.  Seeing this thread actually kinda made me starting thinking about it more.  I searched on Google and ironically came across a Raider that was powder coated.

You can't even tell that it's not paint. It looks to have a nice finish.

Those pics are awesome, I would have never guessed they where powder coated.
