Why the raider needs a bigger fuel tank

How about this one?   More flexable, quick release and better weight balance on the bike.

Besides, I doubt that passes being an approved gasoline container and that would be unlawful, so I can't do it.

I think the tour tank with me on the bike would still be fairly well balanced!  Not sure I would buy a 10 gallon and put on the luggage rack though....

Since we had larger tanks than the other two, we were actually hoping that happened. We'd take the tank, go to the nearest town, sit down at a pub and get something to eat and beer, then fill up the can and take it back

From a practical point of view, the Raider may need a bigger tank, but I think it's also true from an aesthetic point of view.  I think the one and only complaint I have is I feel that the tank looks a little small.  Especially the front area near the handle bars.

You could carry extra fuel in Fuel Bottles - at 30oz each, probably need a minimum of two, but four would be best,

I was traveling across Hwy 2 in Nebraska on the way to Sturgis in 2011.  I ran my Raider S 163 miles on one tank.  Once I realized there was not gas to be had, I lugged it around 50 mph in 5th gear.  Bad news it sucked and killed time, good news I made it and never ran out.  I was amazed  Lesseon to be learned, when in doubt gas up to the top.    Same thing happened in New Mexico on the way back to the great state of Texas.
