Yamaha knows which bike is their flagship motorcycle...
« on: Dec 18, 2012, 04:36:09 pm »
I just received an email from Yamaha offering me $200 cash back if I purchase a new Yamaha Star motorcycle and it came with this picture.

I think they know the Raider is the baddest of all of their bikes.

I didn't get a free $200 when buying my last Raider, so I would appreciate it.   We did get the $500 in accesories when we bought the Stryker and that was definitely a cool deal.  Got Desiree's seat and windshield for about $40 out of pocket.

I bought mine with 240 miles on it.  It had a Yamaha tall QD windshield, cobra floor boards, Yamaha  engine guards,  Corbin solo seat and chrome fender rack, plus the original seats, I ordered the Yamaha custom Cuise seats and the Yamaha Tall QD backrest with luggage rack, and the 4 year extended warranty  got it all for list price of a bare bones stock bike.  But that was just my dealer doing me good, I closed the sale of over 30 bikes for him, when a customer had questions or doubts he would just refer them me. it pays to be a Yamaha

They do know which one is their flagship.  At one time it was the Road Star.  But since more folks are finding out about the Raider and the power.....they are starting to sell and on the rise!  This came from the sales rep a few weeks ago.

12 ago the hottest selling Yamahas in Fairbanks Alaska were royal stars followed by VStars and Roadstars, 8 years ago it was ,  then Roadies, then Royals. Then in 07 the Liners showed up and everything changed.  Now the Raiders and Liners and Strykers  are 1, 2, & 3.

Got the test ride $300 deal in 2012 for my Stryker but it also included other bikes.  Cannot remember if it included the Raider or not.
The best part is that it was from Yamaha so not part of the dealer price negotiations but on top of!!
The worst part is that by the time it arrived in the mail I had spent that and more on stuff   2013 will probably continue that tradition as 2012 was just a partial riding season for me.

Depends on the size o' the fish, eh? A cute little sun perch or a bluegill, an INSULT! Now, a nice big channel catfish? Worthy opponent!

Just about everything I get in the mail from Yamaha has a Raider on it. Last March Yamaha sent me a birthday card with the 2012 Raider on it. It's hanging on the wall in my garage right next to where I park the bike. They know what looks good and what people like: and it's the Raider.
Sometimes it's a little better to travel than to arrive.

I got $1,000.00 cash back from Yamaha when I bought my SCL. My brother also that $200.00 cash back when he bought his "Zero mile" 2011 Reddish Stryker ($8,000.00 + TTL) from Tejas last month. Yeah, Yamaha Rocks!  ;D
