How do you like your Profiler gas cap?

I got a profiler gas cap for xmas. Just wonder from the people who have them installed already, how do you like them so far. Is it harder to fill up the bike having the smaller fill hole? I did set in the tank last night and I do like the look but wanted to make sure it was worth installing it.

Some have had issues with the glue not holding, not me.

Yes, it is harder to judge a full tank but well worth installing. IMO
The OEM looks like a wart sitting on the tank... again... IMO

I like the profiler but will just have the OEM cap powder coated - makes it look better than when chromed

I powdercoated my stock one.  The cap comes apart so you can do the top lid and swing cover.  Be careful when taking apart, there are small springs and arms that you will have to put back in order.  But looks good powdercoated

Love the Profiler.  The epoxy let loose on mine a couple of weeks ago and I considered putting the OEM cap back on, but once I saw it on there I hated it.  So I put the Profiler back on with JB Weld this time.

It is harder to fill, but you get used to it. You can still fill it all the way up.  Just make sure to fill the vent in the Profiler cap with epoxy so that it doesn't vent.  You don't need a vented cap for the Raider.  Others have had leaking issues because of the vent.

Thanks Ares.  I had a pop up flush mount gas cap installed in my old bike, the tank was vented and I didn't realize the new cap was also vented. I filled the tank up on a hot day about an hour later gas was pouring out of the vent all over the tank.

I also have the Baron's Low Profile Cap, I love the look but had leaking issue from the start.  Tejas sent me another 'O" ring and some epoxy, I have not installed yet, I have not filled the vent on the cap, I may try that before trying to epoxy in another "O" ring.

Looking at a parts diagram of the tank it looks like the tank itself has a vent tube. That was how my old bike was also.

I always took it the tank was vented.  I have had it drip from the tube on really hot days when parked in the sun with a full tank of gas.

Anyone that has had their dash off has seen the vent hose going to the tank.  No need for a vented cap

I unscrewed the whole piece inside the cap and spread epoxy throughout and then screwed it back together.
