The Endurance Thread --- How many miles on your Raider?

As of 2am this morning coming home from work it was 71725, and Ares X is pulling away from me. I’ll make up some lost saddle seat time on my summer ride to Nova Scotia and across Newfoundland Island twice this summer.

I'm hoping to do WARR this Summer, so we'll see how that goes to adding the miles.  If you're doing those trips though, you're going to definitely rack up a few miles.

Got past the 82k mark today.
Lost the first 2 months of our riding season up here because of the bad weather.
The next couple days don't look promising either.

I'm glad you fixed that because I was trying to figure out why you were bragging about 1300 miles.

I should get out to riding more and pass you up.  Had I not lost my job in January and ended up going WARR In June, I think I may have had you pretty easy, but my riding has been seriously cut back this year and my new ride to work is 25 miles less one way than what I was doing before.

Mines goin up slowly but surely. Prob will a little more now since its pretty weater. Little over 14 k. Around year n half

Glad to hear about your high mileage 80k+ Raiders!  Something to look forward to.  I bought a 2008 Raider a year ago.  It only had 12,000 miles on it, and now I have 27,000.  So, I'm planning on putting lots of miles on it in the next few years!

Let us know if there are problems you've had so we can know what to look out for.  I saw a post with the possible collapsed lifter and a couple of posts with bad fuel pumps.

That's been pretty much it.  The fuel pumps I think may be a flaw. Not sure about the lifter issue yet. It sounds like with the kind of miles I have it could be expected.

I was talkin to a guy th other day we were talkin about it being air cooled he said the rings on our bikes are rated for 220k. Not sure how accurate that is.

I only have 9,300 miles on mine; but I have good escuse... er, reasons.

13k now. Started with 12k this year. Hoping to put on 10k this year. Not sure if I'll get to do it if it continues to rain like it has been.
