chalomalo- Looks good!  Personally I say lose all windshields.  It just doesn't fit with the handlebars.

Not sure what you mean by the grip rotating clockwise. Doe that mean you have to push your hand forward to accelerate?

He has the cables reversed. I'm pretty sure you have to make the change at the throttle bodies, unfortunately. The cables are different.

That's how I took it, but wasn't sure how it could happen.  So it's not just as easy as swapping the connections at the grip?

No. The cables are different and will only fit one way at the grip. Sucks because you need to move the tank.

With the torque of the Raider, that reversed throttle could sure get a guy in trouble quick.  The old Cushmans back in the 50's had a throttle like that and saw a lot of people run into fences, parked cars, etc because of it...

Hey guys,

So yeah, let me clarify what I mean. When I twist the throttle to accelerate, I have to push forward instead of pulling downwards. Oh and the grip is a little stiff.

Ares X, I agree about the windshield as far as the Blvd windshield, but I'm willing to give the Memphis Shades Speed Demon a try. They're still short enough that I'll be able to see over and tall enough to help keep all the cables in place.

So this time when I attempt switching the cables at the throttle body end, I'm not taking the fuel tank off. I'll get to it from the side, that is - removing the side cover and bracket.
Regards,
chalomalo

You could always try the National Cycle Switchblade Deflector http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycle/N21903?mv_session_id=7yLfnccf&search_model=ym-083%22 or the Switchblade Shorty http://shop.nationalcycle.com/perl/cycle/N21737?mv_session_id=7yLfnccf&search_model=ym-083%22. That way you'd have your short wind deflector, but it's removable.

Very interested in this Scoob, let me know how it works out.  I have been wondering about it for a long while now on how they do it without getting the threads involved and the added thickness fitting the triple tree when complete.

They said that they could just tape the threads off and the plating will only add .0015-.002 to the OD so it really shouldnt affect anything.I will keep you updated.
