Spike
« on: Oct 18, 2013, 03:02:30 pm »
If any of you want to add a solid chrome badass spike to your ride check out the one in my pic.  Had to downsize the pic to get it to attach.  It's the one from Working Class Choppers that sells for the Yamaha Warrior Fork Nut.  It fits perfectly on the steering nut on the Raider.  They are sold as a pair.  Not sure if they will sell them as singles or not.  Mine is a leftover souvenir from my Warrior that I totaled.

    Looks good.

Doesn't it make it more difficult to mess with your key though?

Thanks dreadly.  Here is one to the exact spikes.

The one in your first post is one of the fork spikes?  I was thinking it was something totally different.  I already have fork spikes that are an option with the Billski fork extensions.  Wondering if these look the same, if not it would throw the look off.

A little confused. Did the OP install his wrong or did he not put them on the fork caps by design?

I think it was by design, dthom74 said "it fits perfectly on the steering nut on the Raider."

This spike was designed for the upper fork nuts on the Warrior, but it fits the steering nut on the Raider perfectly.  It is much too large for the upper fork nuts on the Raider.  You can get a much better close up picture of the spike on the Working Class Chopper website.

Wow $65 bucks!......I used $2 spiked lugnut covers on mine (on both, the bottom and top of the fork tubes) Used gorilla glue to secure them. Will post pics tomorrow.

Nope.  Doesn't get in the way at all for me.  It's purpose is to look better than the steering nut.

...and, if you have the keyless ignition... even less an issue.
