I've been using the Barons profile cap with good success until the other night, when I tried to unscrew the cap the entire assembly came out of the tank. After 8 years the original epoxy gave way so looking for suggestions on the type of JB Weld others have used in this case.
I see that the website has a variety of options for metal to plastic but was hoping to get some feedback from users who have used this product for this job in particular.
Cheers!

I believe I used the regular JB Weld and let it sit overnight before tightening down the cap.
Do not use JB Kwik. I used it once and it broke loose.
This has me wondering if it would work better, but it looks to be more of a patch kit than an adhesive. It's petroleum resistant.

I couldn't get any of those products to work for me. I tried Seal-All and haven't looked back.

As with any chemicals, environment and weather are going to have a big impact on how they perform.

Right you are. There are a lot of things we could list. It's like oil...but I won't start that again.

I tried epoxy like JB-Weld - I don't know, maybe three of them. Same prep by cleaning and drying surfaces. mixing the adhesive and allowing them to cure. Same result was the whole thing came out when I stopped for gas.
Was in an AutoZone looking at adhesives and saw a single tube of Seal-All. One tube let says to me that others use it, That's a good sign. When I read the label it seamed too good to be true :
Fast dry time – set in 2-3 minutes
E-z flow formula
Gas and Oil resistant
Waterproof – bond remains secure even when exposed to water
Abrasion resistant, temperature resistant – remains tough even in extreme temperatures
High strength multi-purpose adhesive that seals, bonds and insulates.
gas and oil resistant,
no mixing,
no special curing requirements.
I bought it, used it, recommend it.
