Title: Passenger foot pegs
Post by: TMan05 on Aug 22, 2021, 10:05:44 am
Hey everyone..
Still trying to sort out this box o stuff from my newly purchased Raider and the previous owner has it set up for a single rider. These are the parts he gave me (pic below) but from what I can tell, it seems to be missing a bracket to connect the peg to one of the sides. I have zilch for hardware other than the two bolts on each side of the bike placed there. What else am I missing and have you found anywhere to get oem parts? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If not mistaken the previous owner used the passenger pegs for the rider - looking at pictures he posted before.

It was your post about the foot pegs - your front pegs are actually the passenger pegs - the pegs in the box are the original front pegs.

Oh sorry.. I completely misunderstood you. I thought you meant the previous owner was on this forum and posted pictures with the pegs mounted LoL. I need to find a way to make this work. Maybe machining a new peg mount for the other side could work.. have to look into it more

Oops! I made a slight mistake on the passenger foot peg brackets. Swap the rear passenger peg brackets. The pic I marked the right side is the left side & vice versa. Sorry!

Thank you so much for the breakdown. The exhaust side looks like it needs an additional bracket? Is there a way you could take a couple pics so I can see what needs to be there?

That's where the heel guard goes - the piece with the chrome wire on it is the heel guard

I guess what I meant was, there is nowhere for the actual peg to mount to like the other side has. I figured that was to protect the passenger’s shoes from melting LoL. But if you look at the left passenger peg, it has a u shape to receive the peg while the right side consists of one plane with the heel guard being the only thing sticking out from it.. I don’t know if I am making sense or not 🤷🏽‍♂️

Both pieces are for the right side. The piece with the heel guard bolts onto the peg mount.

Gotcha. Makes total sense now! So I need to find the left side somewhere online hopefully. Thank you for your patience! I appreciate you taking the time to go over this with me!

Also as a reminder the pegs that are on the bike right now are the passenger pegs in the riders position - the pegs in the box are actually the riders pegs
