Guys,
I need to find out how to reset the clock on the instrument cluster. I know the information can be found in the manual but I bought my bike used and it didn't come with a manual. So, does anyone know off hand how to set the clock on the Raider? Thanks.

You'd hate mine. I bought a bigger digital clock and attached it to the bars so I could actually read it while riding. My speedo needle is usually covering part of the other one.

well, i opened this thread up and within 2 minutes i was already in the garage resetting my clock.
it was 16 minutes slow.
all is good...

I know I hate where they put the LCD it should be at the bottom like they have it on other models not sure why they put it right at cruising speed needle location. But I guess they got everything else right so I can live with it.

My clock has been on Houston time since I got the bike, just been to lazy to look in the owners manual to see how to set it... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: But I will get to it now... ;D

Do Canadians use US standard times or Canadian Imperial Metric Time? Curious Mind wants to know. :D

Metric time brother... I remember when I was younger I had gone on a road trip to florida. On the way we stopped at some place in Virginia and had a couple of the local gals in a club there believing that our metric system changed a 24 hour day into a 23 hour day... ahhhhh thge good ole days... You are aware it is 23 hours ...right... :o

Wow!!
I thought for sure it was 38.6243 ;D

Dont know how long you have been retired but...my dad (may he rip) said the same about his watch after a couple of years of retirement...after about 5 or 6 years that changed to include calenders. My dad started at consumers power at the age of 21 and retired at the age of 51 and lived to the age of 78...may we all have almost 30 years of healthy, financially secure retirement so we too can toss out the watches and calenders.
Though to get there...I always said my old man didnt have the first dollar he ever made...but he had change!! He didnt have a Raider to mod out :o
-
Damn, I love this site.. Have a question; type it in search and walla you have the answer.... Thanks!!

Thanks! Worked perfectly. Took like 2 minutes!

I threw my watch away once. My daughter came scooting in with trash on her arm saying, "Daddy, clock, on." Haha

It was a "B" to figure out ... I had to break down and read the manual too. I was surprised yesterday to see that it changed to Daylight Savings time all by itself.

Really? Mine didn't and it shouldn't since I'm in AZ and we don't have DST. How'd it know?
-
Yeah, good question. How did it know. Mine never changes on its own.
-
This is strange. I rode mine to league pool tonight and as I'm getting ready to head home I remember I need to reset mine. So I change it back an hour and then look at my phone to check the minutes at which time I realize that the clock was already set right and had to reset it again. This is the first time it's happened in the 6 years I've had the bike. I dunno?????

Oh I'm definitely off, just not about that. It's one of the few things I'm anal about.

Yea, really.
-
When I on the bike I really don't give a sh*t what time it is
-
sometimes you want to know just how late you are.
-
If I'm on the bike I'm always late....cuz I always take the long way
-
I agree. My philosophy is I'll get there when I get there, and enjoy the rumble along the way.
__________ :raider:
-
The bike is normally my main transportation, going to work I can't be late so the clock is set correctly. Outside of that I could care less what time it is... ;D
-
I never wear a watch, except for the occasional dress up affair, just to have another piece of jewelry on to appease the wife. I find it an irritation if I need to know the time there are clocks visible everywhere anymore, but when I do see a clock I do want it to correct and will check my cell phone and reset the clocks in my house and vehicles.

I always wear a watch and have for as long as I can remember. It's true they are all over now but it more convenient to just look at my wrist instead of looking for the clock in an unfamiliar location. I feel like I am not totally dressed without my watch.

Yeah I love it here but it seems like we have been getting more rain than normal lately... :(

Desiree said that too. It was a mild winter, but we have had a lot more rain.

The time is 8:51 if still resetting ;D

This clock setting thing "could" frustrate those that need to check time.
I agree with SLK, I only wear it when the wife insist.
I have noticed thou, with the tank off twice, the clock seems to loose 1 hour and a couple of minutes, EACH time the tank is off. Even when I leave it for the night......
I think the "Time Lords" just enjoy playing with us.

The clock is disconnected when you remove the tank, you know that right? Not sure if I understand the comment, but thought I'd throw this out there.
-
Yes, I know I am disconnecting the clock with the tank controls unplugged.

It is ALWAYS the same time difference, 1.01 hours. Maybe a coincidence but twice now the same. Not a biggy, just odd,,,,,,, Like Me !
-
Did you take the tank off at 8p the night before and start working on it again at 9a the next morning. :rotfl:

I've actually noticed something similar. I have another clock that I use and they're usually around an hour or so off after reconnecting. I just thought it was coincidence. Like I took an hour to do whatever I did with the tank off.

This has me really curious now. I have my tank off now and it's been off for over two weeks, I will see what it says when I get it hooked back up.

I think the clock losing a hour of time is just the bike trying to get more ride time for you !! ;D ;D ;D

Rad !
Keep nudging baby. I will ride you.........
