Nothing like riding with your friends that all ride Harleys an that damn starter drags an they all say " is that thing going to start?" It always does, but it can be a pain
Just tell them it's because the starter has to work a lot harder since your motor is so much bigger than theirs.

My buddy was having this issue.  He replaced the starter, seemed to do a little better for a while, then started doing it again.  This year he purchased a high end lithium battery, and has not had a problem since.
Mine has started like that from day one, and I have a lithium battery. A lot of theses bikes start like that. And yes, it does sucke at times.

Mine does the same thing, always has.  I don't worry about it though... It always starts...  ;)

Mine goes through spells where it drags and almost stalls.  That is with the Battery Tender Lithium 240.  My OEM battery was 190 CCA.  That puppy struggled on every start.

My new battery is about 160CCA and has no problem starting the bike. Usually two turns and off it goes

Wow, that's pretty low, IIRC the OEM is 210 CCA.

So far ... no issues as CCA seems to apply when it's cold.  ;D

Would it not stand to reason that if it has more cold cranking amps that it might have more warm cranking amps😕

I would assume it depends on the battery/make/model  ... my only point really is my bike kicks over fine  :)

I wish the hell mine kicked over just fine. Lol. Surely someone has found a miracle cure for this issue somewhere

You know I almost believe it is a cranking amp issue. Simply because when I leave it on the tender it never drags
