Checking Coils
« on: Mar 13, 2020, 10:04:38 pm »
I'd like to check the coils on my bike. Can I put a multi meter on it to verify the coils are working correctly? What setting do I use and what number am I looking for to verify correct operation? Or is this not a way to check them?

ignition section in the service manual gives the values  and tells you how to check them

Interesting that says primary coil 2.16. I got 2.7 on every single one. Maybe because I didn't de energize them? But no matter. The bike running like a bat out of hell!!! Its running perfectly.
    Thank you!
