Blaster X Tail Light - with rear license bracket?
« on: Mar 28, 2020, 01:04:21 pm »
Got rear ended in my 2012 raider, signals are gone and most of the plastic. Was able to save the license bracket Looking to replace with the Blaster X Tail Light.  I want to keep the license plate in the rear.  Is there a spot once I put in the Blaster to hold the license bracket?

thanks

The OEM plastic license plate bracket is the part that holds the tail light in place. The BlasterX is a direct replacement for the OEM tail light and fits in the same spot. So, unless you go with the Kuryakyn sub-fender license plate bracket like in the pictures Ted posted ( I have that one too ) , you need to keep the upper part of the plastic bracket to hold the tail light. From there you can fabricate a simple bracket to hold the license plate in position.

Get the Kuri sub-fender.  It's a pain to install, but it looks beautiful when completed.

I agree with the Kuri sub-fender but when you pull off the rear fender, remember, it's heavier than it looks.  If you don't want to cut the OEM connectors you can find replacement connectors on eBay, Amazon, or other places (see attached image).

      Good luck.

The BlasterX is pug and play. It comes with OEM connectors so there's no cutting required. Unless you buy a cheap imitation.
