Reaper Rear Fender light question
« on: May 07, 2020, 07:15:34 pm »
I really like the Reaper rear fender and have been able to find some pics of it here and there but what I really am looking for is pics of the lighting.
Did you use the single or double row option?
Something completely own your own?
Hoping to see what you guys have done with the lighting part of the project.
Thanks!

The only person I know that had the rear Reaper fender was ldbiaze and unfortunately he's no longer with us.

I almost went with it on my last Raider until I realized how much it changed the profile of the bike.

Seems to me youd need to put LED strips for brake lights and turn signals sort of like the low and mean fender.

They sell a taillight kit for that fender, but I'm sure one could be made.  I'd go with the kit myself, and the most luminous - too many morons not paying attention.

Starky has one too.  Hey Starky, are you still out there?  I see you've been active recently.  Maybe you could give some input?

      Thanks guys!
I decided to go with the fender kit so I will have to see what everything looks like when it arrives.
Still may go back and get the lighting kit as well or come up with something on my own. I love to come up with stuff that nobody else has so we shall see!
Thanks for your input, I have really enjoyed my time here so far!

Are you doing the added storage area?  That had a lot of appeal to me when I was considering this fender.

I think you can add it later.

$75 isn't a bad price for a nice safe storage area.

I also really like that license plate extensions piece. It has a pretty tough look, but that's almost another $200.  It adds up quick.

Yeah, my bike already has a lighted side plate mount on it so I'm going to keep that. I like the storage option, just have to get past the money issue. As a do-it-yourselfer, I think I can come up with something comparable (but maybe not as aesthetically pleasing for 75 bones
