My backrest comes off only when the seat comes off which isn’t very often.  If you ride 2 up you would be amazed at how much your back and your companions back appreciates having the full ultimate package.

Does anyone want to lend me theirs to make sure I love it?  ;D

I have looked for a while and nothing ever comes up.  It seems like I might have to pony up the cash.

When I bought mine I got the whole set for $700 back in 2010  now the whole set runs around $825 last time I looked.  I think the driver back rest is somewhere around $225 by it self now.

Yeah the backrest is "only" $225.  Gonna bite the bullet I guess.

Sucks that it costs that much but after a few hundred miles with that backrest you'll be glad you paid for it.

Here's a backrest that is inexpensive and I have used it since I bought my bike in 2009. No special tools just remove front seat and screw into place.

There are knock off Corbin backrests all over the place on eBay. They’re decent end work fine. Are there ultimate backrests too?

:agree: Yeah they are worth there weight in gold at times. Fortunately my Corbin BR will slide right out but I usually keep my Danny Grey Buttcrack on the bike unless going over a hundred miles.

No knock off Ultimate brackets that I know of.  Yeah I had seen some Corbin knockoffs from some guy in Texas but not sure they are the same as the Ultimate.  Can someone post a picture and maybe some dims of what they post looks like of where it slides into the seat.  Maybe I could fab one up.

The post that goes into the seat is 5” long 1.5” wide and 1/4” thick
