This repair is simple (with the right tools) and has been done thousands of times in all applications. Look for a shop with specific expertise in recoiling/helicoiling (same technology, different brands). Not necessarily a Bikeshop required. A mechanical shop will probably have more experience and can do it immediately.

    Thanks again guys for the replies.  I found a post from Braveheart123 where he had the same problem.  In his experience, he said to get another oil drain bolt that normally is toward the back end of the bike and use one of those in the stripped hole as the bolt is longer.  So I picked up another longer bolt, put plenty of teflon tape on it and tightened it down sufficiently.  Filled up with new oil, took for a spin, and no oil leaking so far!  Will see over time if she holds up.
