Interesting how it sits high at the rear. The mudguard (fender) isn't usually that high above the tyre.

Have you changed the rear shock?

No, thats how I got it. Ill check that out in case one of the previous owners did that or added a riser link. If I can reduce that gap I will.

Definitely needs a lowering kit! Sitting way to high in the rear!

Pull the factory ones off since you will have too in order to install new ones. Then use the factory ones as a template to cut out new ones! Id say make them 1" to 1-1/2" longer then factory bones.

You could even put multiple holes in the new ones to give you some adjustment for height.
Lean till it grinds , then lean some more ..

The rear fender looks awesome!  I actually have another Raider fender taped off for me to cut like that, but I haven't taken the time to do it.  I may have to move that up on my project list.  Problem is, then it needs to be painted to match the rest of the Raider and I'm not sure how it would look with bags.

It does seem high and definitely needs to be lowered.

I have some standard link off the bike as I lowered my partners Raider recently, and the ones we put on hers were only around 1/2" longer than std.

You might want to go lower as it looks high from the start. If you need the std length dog bones measured, let me know

      Perfect Kev.

How much lowering did you get the 1/2 longer links?

If you're looking for a lowering kit you may want to ask Dirtiegirtie on here. He was looking to sell his I'm pretty sure

Sitting with 5 gap right now.

The standard dog bones between the two holes centrally are 31cm exactly.

The lowered ones we used was only around 13mm longer than standard which dropped the bike around 35mm.

If you want to drop it more you will need longer dog bones still, however you will need to see whats available first and make a judgement from there.

Also, look at your bike first because it is sitting high and there maybe a reason for that already.

Do you have any pics from before you chopped the fender because right now something doesn't look right - fender is too high
