I never rode my raider with a 210 since it was new! 240 installed at delivery and never looked back. On my 3rd 240 now! Donít know why anybody would go back to a 210! Thatís unheard of!

Why would you return to a 210 unless its cheaper than the 240 to buy! Really weird.

The 210 doesn't handle any better and many say the 240 is better. My personal view is it is hard to tell the difference and a lot of it is psychological.

I would never go back though and I don't think many would.

Other than needing a new rear tire and not being able to get a 240 is the only reason I know of to go backwards - the Avon has deeper tread and lasts at least twice as long as the 210 - the 240 handles better than the 210 unless you ride in a straight line all the time.

Plus it looks so much better.

      Why did you?

ANSWER: I was able get 2 of the 210s at a realeeeeeeeeeee low price...I know this may sound crazy but I wish someone made a 210 or 215 in a weee bit taller tire...The V-Max has a 200 50 18 but that's too narrow for the rim. I ran 190s on my Road Warrior. I believe the 240 when squeezed onto the 'stock' Raider rim is about a 225 to 230??? The one bike I had that loved a narrower tire was my B-King (I wish I hadn't sold it)

The reason why i will get a 210 and not a 240? My dealership told me they will NOT put a 240 on the stock rim because it is out of spec for the rim. I will call then next closest Yamaha Dealership to see if they will do it.

There has to be an independant shop near you that will do it probably cheaper than the dealer would.

I ended up tossing two 210s that I removed from my last two Raiders as soon as I bought them. They sat around our garage for years and I finally decided they were probably too dry for anyone to use anymore and had no idea who would've wanted them, so to the dump they went. I think one of them had less than 100 miles on it.
