Front Brake Rotor replacement options??
« on: Aug 12, 2020, 08:43:13 am »
Haven't taken the bike to a shop for inspection yet but my front brakes are pulsating so I'm guessing my rotors are warped and just wondering if I should stick with OEM replacements or is there a good aftermarket option? Thanks for the info

Unless I had a show bike, if it were me, I'd stay OEM as they are engineered specifically for the bike.

You can find alternatives, but I'm with A.T. on this one.

I have the RC Components rotors since I have the RC Components wheels and I have to say they do tend to squeal a lot more than OEM.  They're REALLY pretty though.

Thanks for the input fellas will probably will go with OEM. Bike has 55k miles so if I can get that much off the next set then will probably last long enough til I retire the bike...

Absolutely correct about the squealing...regardless of brake pad type. Stainless steel rotors will make you wish you were back to OEM because they are so annoying.

Some year R6 front rotors will work on our bikes I believe
Lean till it grinds , then lean some more ..

Think I'm going to give this EBC rotor a try. Its about the same price as OEM, even a little cheaper, and diggin the blue as it matches the blue I recently painted my bike with ;D
