Mileage 90K +
« on: Sep 20, 2020, 04:10:25 pm »
How many miles can one put on a Raider without any mechanical work? My 09 just flipped past 90,000 on the clock. I've been fortunate to be able to add almost 70K over the last 3 years commuting to work. i bought her with 23K on the clock. Just this year, i changed the plugs & air-filter. Other than oil & filter every 3 to 3.5K miles and a set of tires every year; I've had no mechanical / adjustments performed. No, not even valves. She starts every time right away and still get 42 to 45 miles to the gallon. I'm hoping to push 150K to 200K without any type of major work. Anyone else have high mileage experience?  My apologies for not hanging around here too often; busy working & riding. Stay safe everyone and keep the two round parts on the road.

Mine is an 08 with currently 157k on it! I had to replace 3rd gear, and the fuel pumps twice, last valve check was at 92k, and with nothing knocking, I haven't looked back!
Still running and giving me many smiles per miles after all these years!
