Handlebar Riser for the 2" pullback solved!!! Sort of
« on: Sep 28, 2020, 03:48:41 pm »
Hi All,

As a lot of people here post they want a little more pullback on the handlebars so it doesn't feel we are leaning forward a bit to the stock bars.

I have searched and finally found and installed these risers:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M9IG488/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Though there is the issue of the gap from the top cap to the riser, it absolutely gives me that extra pullback without changing the bars etc. It lifts and pulls back the bars and it feels great.  All that for the cheap price of $32!!!

Currently I wrapped a cool bandana around the gap until I figure out how to modify a cover or insert to close the gap.

You find the spacers move the bar grips "back" about 2" and not just "up" about 2"?

The risers are angled so raising them is also moving them back a bit

ok thanks my bars could come back about 2" and it would probably feel a little more comfortable so I may check into these. Thanks.

Maybe you could take measurements and 3d print something to fill in the gap? I am very interested in your progress here. I've been looking for ways to get some extra pullback without swapping the handlebars or risers. I like the way the stock ones look, just need a little pullback.

How would you do a 3D printing for this?   Never done it but certainly understand what you are suggesting.
