Clutch Master Cylinder Push Rod

Stupid question here. Getting close to completing the rebuild of my son's Raider. Ridiculous that I should get stuck on this.

Does anyone know the correct orientation of the clutch master cylinder push rod? I've searched everywhere I could think of looking. Everyone seems to think that this is just something you are supposed to know. Number 36/1 in the attached pics.

Normally push rods with a rounded end goes towards the piston.  The piston might have a cupped end for the rounded end of the rod.

In the second drawing the rounded end goes toward the cylinder.

Bingo. Yes, the piston does have a concave end. Of course it does. Now it is obvious. Duh.

Regarding the picture, I can't count how many times those have been wrong....
