Fork Stanchion Removal Tool
« on: Nov 12, 2020, 04:53:17 pm »
Hi Guys

As many of us know, removing the fork stanchions from the fork legs can be a pain, and every bike seems to have a different way to remove them.

Some have a tool you can ram down the stanchion to hold the inner part while you unscrew the bolt on the bottom of the fork leg. Sometimes you can get away with a broom handle to do the same job.

However, I have two different tools for bikes, but none work on the Raider.

My question is....... Is there a correct  tool that Yamaha sell to do the job and if so, can anyone point me in the right direction to what it is?

Thanks
Kev

I've tried this tool and I find it so-so, but you might have more luck than I did. Personally I think I'll have to come up with something better.

I'd rather die on a motorcycle than live without one.
