Could someone identify the switch and its function on the right hand side between the starter button and the engine kill switch. I have no manual and cant find the info anywhere, The switch has a dipped light and arrow on it and I expected it to be a self returning head light flash switch,  but this has a definate on and off position and nothing seems to happen when I move the switch.  please advise as the bike is new to me so Im still finding my way round it all. Cheers

If memory serves me right, you're talking about the auxiliary light switch.

Yamaha used to sell an aftermarket light bar kit that plugged directly into an adaptor that I think is in the headlight bucket. The switch turns it on and off. Others have used the wiring to control other accessories that you might want to turn off and on.

Switch for running lights - connector located in headlight bucket.  Like the headlight, it is only powered when the bike is running.

Thanks for clearing that up for me , I do intend to possibly fit a couple of running lights to the engine crash bar im making so that switch will be very handy .

I have emailed Kuryakyn about it because they don't have those items on their site and no newer versions of them. I have emailed them to confirm the part numbers and prices for the Light bar and mount, (I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THOSE 2 ITEMS PART NUMBERS YET) I am waiting for a response.

I think Kuryakyn stopped making stuff for the Raider right after Yamaha took them out of production but I'd like to see what kind of response you get from them - also heard they were bought out by Motorcycle.com not too long ago.

Yep Kuryakyn responded to my email and confirmed 5001 and 4010 are the correct make and model specific part numbers for their light bar and mount. They also said these have been discontinued so you will have a hard time finding them.
