260 rear tire

Hello,

I've seen on fb Raider group, that somebody fit a 260 tire on the rear, with no issues ...
Is there anybody here with a 260 rear ?

It well fit but really  tight and you well have to trim or remove the belt guards, 240 is the best fit and the deepest tread, 260 well be more rounded

My 240 Avon rubs my stock plastic tailpiece which hangs down below the license plate, slightly, I suspect, when I go over bumps.   The plastic piece has signs of rubbing, mainly when the tire is new.

That's what I thought, but others were saying you could, so I figured I was mistaken.  I've heard of a 250 being used and it's more rounded.

I ran a 250 on my 14 SCL. I hated the way it handled so I took it off.  There was maybe a couple mm clearance on each side between the tire and the swing arm and the belt guards, ain’t buying that the 260 would fit.

.  I got a 250 on my raider

A 260 is technically 10mm wider than a 250 so if some 250s have only a few mm clearance it would be a crap shoot if a 260 would fit.   I am not sure a 260 would be 10mm wider than a 250 on the same rim because the tire is pinched together more than it would be if the proper rim size for that tire is wider.

I can't remember who it is but there is a member here that has ran a 260 since he has had his Raider on the stock rim.
