Does anyone have an issue with your seat getting hot? If so what is your solution. I have lined the underside with heat sheild.

Oh!  I thought you meant hot from sitting in the sun and yes, I did have that issue when I had a job without covered parking that I rode to in the AZ sun.

I can't say my seat gets hot from the engine. Sometimes my leg might if it's a super hot day and I've been riding for a while.

The only heat source I can think of would be the oil tank but never had an issue with it myself - Sorry

No heat from unda but maybe the pipes radiating some heat upwards.

I've noticed it at times.  The first time I pulled over and took the seat off to make sure nothing electrical was losing smoke.  As everything checked out I assumed it was either pyschosymantic or heat from the oil resevoir/engine.

I'm curious to know how the heat shield tape works.
