Pardon my ignorance but I just bought my first Raider which is a 2010 so are they still the same as the '08 regarding the service manual?

    Thanks!

Good question.  4Yes, my dealer is using the same service manual for 2008-2010 and he doesn't ex[ect it to change for 2011.

Any one actually have a Raider one?

I could've used this link about $87 ago. Haha. Gotta say mine paid for itself today just for the wiring diagram. :-)

Just want to say "Thanks" big time.  I'm having some service work done at a local (non-Yamaha) shop and to be able to give specs is really important to me.  Had a minor disagreement with my Yamaha shop over belt tension and now my trust level is wavering.  I ended up buying a belt tension gauge to check it myself and it was way out of specs.  The mechanic used his hand and said it was fine (it wasn't).  The shop basically works on Harleys, but is wanting to expand to the metrics and seems to listen.  They put on my new rear tire (Avon Cobra 240) and everything was spot on.  So, going to give them a try at service and now I can give them specs, volumes, torque, etc.  Again, many thanks.

I downloaded it and it was of major benefit in installing the new pipes.

Somewhere in there I found the torques specs for all bolts on the bike.  The torque on the exaust bolts was a major concern in swapping the pipes out.

I bought a cd of the manual off of eBay for about $6.00. That's fine, if you have your laptop in your garage and can refer to it between each bolt removal, but I also found a guy somewhere on another board who sells PRINTED copies of service manuals for lots of bikes for $30. This thing is about 2" thick, and is exactly the same as the one I bought off eBay. Sure, you could print it out yourself, but the cost of paper and printer ink, not to mention your time to print the whole thing out makes it worth the $30 to me! At first I was skeptical about buying it, thinking that I might get ripped off like so much of eBay's crap is, but this guy is legit. And, it's printed with a laser printer, so the ink will not run if you spill beer or water on it (or completely disappear!) like ink jet printed stuff does. If someone wants his e-mail, I'll look it up and put it in a message.

Whether it is a $6 CD or a FREE down;oad, you can just print the pages you need for the job you are doing.  That's better thanprinting 200 pages you will never use or paying $30 for them.

Several of the procedures in the shop manul begin with this step: "Set the parking brake."
What? Do they bother to proof-read these things before printing them?

      Hey guys,
is there still a working link somewhere that does not link to the Roadliner Midnight manual but really that of the Raider?

I cannot find it anywhere at all.

Thanks  a lot and a happy new year to you all.

      Cheers,

      Merc

I don't know that anyone has posted a service manual for the Roadliner. Being this is mainly a Raider forum, most posts are related to the Raider.

maybe someone knows where a service manual for the Roadliner can be found

      Hi dreadly,
I think this was a misunderstanding. I am actually looking for the Raider manual but some of the links I have found in the forum lead to the Roadliner manual.

I did not find a link for the Raider manual yet.

      Cheers,

      Merc
