Walked past her this afternoon, or I should say limped, after getting home from the Orthopedic surgeons office with confirmation that my left foot is broken. Guess I will be down for 4 to 8 weeks.
I can SO RELATE HERE! I had a total right hip replacement on 9/21/10. Now I have a matching pair of steel hips. The last ride was on 9/10. Left home about 0515 hrs that day and when I got home at 11:00 PM I had riden 787 miles. I rode with my neighbor Brad. We did the 3 sisters from Houston, went to Fredricksburg, Luckenbach and then into Houston on 290. It was awesome. It is true, a person can have Raider with-drawal caused by not riding.
I have started my bike every week to maintain the battery so I can ride. I put my cane away yesterday and will visit the Dr. for release this afternoon. I have become cranky, short-tempered and am close to talking to myself. I will ride before Friday this week. I almost (almost) snuck out a couple days ago, but I did not my wife to get mad. Those of you who know Texas women - well.........discretion is the better part of valor in this case.
I did manage to order something from Webslinger and ordered some earplugs from Etymotic the ER-6I. I cannot wait to ride, but I must wash the bike first.
